From Geneva to Gstaad & Interlaken – A Day of Scenic Beauty & Soulful Coaching

What a day it was — filled with breathtaking views, heartfelt conversations, and powerful mindset shifts.

With my coaching group, we embarked on a one-day experiential journey across Switzerland — a journey that combined coaching, nature, and inspiration.

We met early in the morning and started our adventure from Geneva to Montreux. A travel tip for those based in Switzerland: you can grab a full-day train ticket from your local commune for just 52–59 CHF. For visitors, day tickets are available at main train stations, usually around 90–100 CHF. Always ask — there are often great deals waiting to be discovered!

From Montreux, we boarded the GoldenPass Panorama Express, a train designed to make you pause and take it all in. As it winds up into the mountains, Lake Geneva unfolds below you like a dream — and that’s only the beginning.

We arrived in Gstaad, one of Switzerland’s most elegant alpine towns. With its pristine streets, chic boutiques, and charming chalets, it’s a destination where sophistication meets serenity. We strolled through the village and gathered at a local café, where coaching conversations naturally flowed. Ultimately, you can also visit the “Glacier 3000 suspension Bridge.”

Our next stop: Interlaken — a place that lives up to its name, nestled between two lakes, Thun and Brienz, and surrounded by the mighty Swiss Alps. To get there, we journeyed through Zweisimmen and Spiez, each train ride more scenic than the last.

Once in Interlaken West, we explored the city center, admired the little Japanese garden, and watched paragliders float down into the heart of the park. The town’s energy is vibrant yet peaceful — a perfect blend for reflection.

Then came the highlight: a ride up to Harder Kulm by funicular. At a 64% incline, the ride is thrilling — passing through a mountain tunnel and leading to a lookout point 1,322 meters above sea level. The reward? A panoramic view of turquoise lakes, snow-dusted peaks, and rolling green valleys. It’s the kind of beauty that opens your heart and mind.

Over coffee at the top, we coached, shared, reflected. A moment of pause in a place that inspires you to dream bigger.

Even a one-day change of scenery can spark transformation — this day proved it.

And what else can you do around Interlaken:

  • Lauterbrunnen
  • Take a boat trip on Lake Thun or Brienz or both
  • Schynige  Platte
  • Take the little red train in Interlaken to go around in 45 minutes
  • And for the adventurous ones: Paragliding
